The franchise partner is responsible for sourcing a local broker to identify potential sites in your designated market. The Rusty Taco management team will approve all sites that are identified for growth opportunities.
Site Criteria:
- Minimum of 75,000 population in a 5 mile radius
- Average median income of $65,000 +
- 2,000 square foot in-line space or free standing
- Excellent – tenant base, visibility to traffic patterns, ingress / egress, and signage opportunities
- Minimum 30 parking spaces
- Non-traditional opportunities will be evaluated on an as needed basis
The franchise partner is responsible for sourcing an architect and general contractor. Rusty Taco corporate has recommended architects and general contractors if needed. The Rusty Taco Management team will approve all architectural plans and will perform the final walk through to ensure the site meets our building requirements.
Training & New Restaurant Opening
The franchise partner will be responsible for attending a 4 week training program in Dallas, Texas. The goal is to provide you the knowledge and tools to operate a great Rusty Taco restaurant. All costs associated with training will be the responsibility of the franchise partner to include: travel, lodging, meals, and salary if applicable. On-going training will be conducted after the store opens.
Our new restaurant opening team will be on-site 3 days prior to the opening of your restaurant. This experienced team will remain with your crew for 4 days after your opening to ensure your restaurant if off to a great start.
Operations & Distribution

Our operations team will work in conjunction with our franchise partners to maximize their business opportunity. Their responsibilities will include:
- Support in areas of great people development, operational excellence, and assisting franchisees with their financial fundamentals
- Assist you in building on your operational foundation
All products will be sourced from a local distributor. Rusty Taco will ensure all products meet our quality standards and specifications.
POS System & Technology
The Computer System currently includes the Aloha Software. You must acquire software
downloads from the developer of that software so that your Computer System can access the primary software over the Extranet. The Computer System’s hardware components include:
- A processor
- Credit card swipes
- Receipt and other printers.
You will use the Computer System to access the Extranet and to input and access
information about your members, sales and operations. The Extranet also will function as a
based point-of-sale system for all transactions at the Restaurant. The Computer System will store some Data and other data and information about the Restaurant’s finances and operations based on information you input.
